Veteran director K Raghavendra Rao is a multifaceted man who not only directed classics but has forayed into producing films, writing scripts and even doing choreography.
And yet, the top filmmaker continues to switch gears and is now prepping up to make his acting debut at the age of 78, which astonished many on hearing the news. The story written by Janardhan Maharshi, will be helmed by Tanikella Bharani.
Writer-actor-director Tanikella Bharani is all set to direct a film based on the narrative of a retired man who spends time self reflecting and reminiscing memories, and he felt that Raghavendra Rao would be perfectly apt for the role.
Recent news was that it will feature multi female ensemble cast that includes Samantha Akkineni, Shriya Saran and Ramya Krishnan in lead roles. But now the rumours have surfaced that Samantha declined the offer and decide to forgo the project.
Tanikella Bharani too confirmed that she would be part for the film. This startled the senior director when she refused to star alongside with him. Now, Tamannaah Bhatia is aboard to play the role. The film will feature three heroines – Ramya Krishna, Tamannaah, and Shriya Saran. Reportedly, Sam was not supposed to sign any film until she completes the already committed ones.
