Sasikala was rushed to Bangalore hospital from prison

Sasikala, who is about to be released from the Parappana Agraharam prison in Bangalore, was rushed to a hospital in the city as she is suffering from fever. Sources close to her said that she had been suffering from fever and cough for a few days.

Sasikala, a close associate of former Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa, is serving a jail term in a case of assets exceeding her income.

Sasikala, who paid a fine of Rs 10 crore to the court, is scheduled to be released on the 27th of this month.

The doctors in the Bangalore hospital released a statement stating that “Mrs. Sasikala was admitted with comorbidities of hypertension, diabetes, and hypothyroidism. She is stable with supportive measures, antibiotics, and oxygen. She will be further evaluated and monitored. Investigation reports are awaited.”
