Sunil starrer Jakkanna has collected a share around Rs 9.5 crores so far is expected to make around 10.5 to 11 Cr for full run. The film directed by Vamsi Krishna Akella was made of a budget of Rs 12 crores. The makers are in talks to close satellite business.
In fact, fate of Jakkanna depends on at what price the deal will be closed. Sunil has decent value when it comes to satellite rights. Usually, his films make business somewhere around Rs 2 to 3 crores. If Jakkanna makes 3 crores business, then producer Sudarshan Reddy will be very much safe.
The film Jakkanna was released in last week to mixed response. However, the film could survive due to funny one liners throughout and impressive promotions by the makers. Bhavani Prasad and Maharshi’s writing was biggest asset of the film.Jakkanna made decent business in Telugu states; nonetheless the movie has been turned out to be a flop maker for overseas distributors. While weak content was the prime reason, Pelli Choopulu’s domination in overseas was the other reason for the film bombing in the region.
