The Telugu Film industry has produced many legendary filmmakers and Dasari Narayana Rao is one of them. As a storyteller and director, the great Dasari Narayana Rao took the industry to greater heights. After he stopped making films, Dasari Garu started looking into the issues faced by the industry.
He served as the Industry Pedda and made sure that he addresses the issues in the industry. As today is his Death Anniversary, a memorial meeting was held earlier today and the members of the industry remembered how Dasari dealt with the issues.
Yesteryear Superstar Suman, who attended the event alleged that the industry is not happy now as the costs have increased and the buyers are facing the wrath of the increase in the production costs and which increased the film rights.
Suman said that the production costs of films have increased largely as the makers are putting big budgets to make films. With a hope that the films will bring big profits, the buyers are buying films and they are facing the consequences if the film fails, he said.
Taking us through how things used to be when Dasari Narayana Rao used to be the industry bigwig, Suman said that when a buyer gets affected, Dsaru Garu made sure that he gets the next film at a lesser cost which is not the case now, he said.
Suman’s comments once again shed light on the vacant post of Industry bigwig. Earlier, it was expected that Chiranjeevi would take the post. Recently, another senior leader Babu Mohan said that after Dasari, there is no bigwig in the industry.
