Shekar Kammula had directed Daggubati Rana’s debut movie, Leader which took on the corruption in the political system. The movie failed to do well at the box office. Shekar is reportedly very depressed with the movie result. And he says it took time for him to come out of it. Here is what he had to say in an interview to a News paper.
“It was a genuinely heartfelt effort, a very realistic film which offered a possible solution to fight the rampant corruption in our society. I believed that it would trigger a change in society. I now realise that I was too naive. Far from effecting a change, the movie did not even get a great response at the BO. It turned out to be a failed dream and it took me some time to get over it.”
Lets wish his next movie ‘Life is Beautiful’ leaves him with fond memories.
