For the uninitiated, if a popular fashion designer has to be hired to style a heroine and hero for a single movie, the designer’s paycheque for a medium budgeted film will be like 15-20 lakhs. And that includes the cost of costumes and designer remuneration too. But for a medium budgeted film, that 20 lakhs will be helpful to shoot a 4-day long song in the beaches of Vizag. So what to do?
To cut the cost for producers and to cut herself the burden of maintaining high-cost stylists, heroine Anupama Parameswaran is said to be giving chance to fashion graduates from popular colleges to do the honours. That way, she could get the latest designs styled for her at low costs and the just-passed graduates will also get an expertise of styling celebrities.
