Gone are the days when you would be waiting for the annual Filmfare Awards or the Lux Awards of Bollywood. Today, you have your own prestigious event in the form of SIIMA (South India International Movie Awards) which is happening in foreign countries in the grandest way possible.
So far, the event has covered Sharjah, Dubai and Malaysia and now groundwork has already begun for the 2015 edition. According to inside sources, the organizers are now considering Singapore for the venue.
It is heard that this time the event is going to happen in a very large scale with some big surprises. SIIMA is the brainchild of Vishnu Induri who was successful in bringing together all the four industries of south cinema under one roof and conduct this awards evening.
He has already shown his mettle by coming up with the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) which is yet another innovative concept. For now, all eyes are set on Singapore.
