If ‘Salaar’ wasn’t postponed, ‘Skanda’ would have been released this Friday. The makers even organised a pre-release event long back. They released three songs, a teaser and a trailer too. But the movie got postponed to 28th September and the entire team went silent. There is not a single update or promotional activity from the film’s unit.
Ram has shifted his focus towards ‘Double Ismart’ under Puri Jagannadh’s direction. He is shooting a few key episodes with Sanjay Dutt who is playing the villain in the movie. Fans are worried about ‘Skanda’ not getting promoted properly. Even though Ram and Sreeleela might be busy, Boyapati Sreenu is also not giving any interviews which is making everyone wonder if it is intentional silence or not.
As we know, there is a lot of negative vibe over the film. The hype which was present after the teaser and during shooting has completely vanished after the songs and trailer dropped. Many started believing that Boyapati made a template mass movie in his signature style which does not suit young heroes at all. The censor of this film is done and the audience need to get hyped about the film which is turning out to be a tough task.
It might be too late if the team of ‘Skanda’ are trying to promote the film only a week ahead of its release. With movies like ‘Chandramukhi 2’, ‘Pedha Kapu 1’ and others releasing on the same day, Ram and Boyapati’s mass masala flick may face a tough competition. It is high time the team of ‘Skanda’ realize that.
