On a whole, there are five types of movie-fans among Telugu audiences, as per various jokes doing rounds on social networks. Here are 6 types of such fans, who talk about any of their latest movies in their own ways.
1) Hero-lovers: These fans admire their hero next to their favourite religions God. When the film releases, they immediately talk about 100 crores collection, beating all existing records and all.
2) Anti-fans: They are the hardcore fans of other heroes and their sole point is criticising the competitors. Irrespective of who the opponent is, and how good the movie is, they don’t praise.
3) Cynical fans: They love Hollywood and Korean films, and always speaks low about Telugu cinema. By their vast knowledge of various foreign films, they point out which scene is from where.
4) Cine lovers: These are guys who like each and every cinema. They enjoy songs, glamour, little humour or whatever. For them, watching a movie irrespective of who the hero and director are, is a hobby. They enjoy every film.
5) Piracy batch: These people never come to theatres though they like cinema. They depend on torrents and watch pirated movies hundreds of times. Sometimes unfortunately they end up in theatres too.
6) Activists fans: Finding fault with various scenes, these people talk about rights of animals first, then they say women are insulted and write pages of FB posts and 100s of tweets.
All these six-types of fans collectively contribute for films like Baahubali and Srimanthudu to succeed and contribute to the revenues.
