My Son’s Defeat Depressed Me: Ex Deputy CM Cries

Ex Deputy CM of AP KE Krishnamurthy has turned emotional. He has cried and had tears in his eyes during his meeting with his followers, party workers and leaders on August 15.

Teary-eyed KE admitted that his son KE Shyam Babu’s defeat in the elections has depressed him and disturbed him. He said he has done so many development works in the constituency and still his son KE Shyam Babu was defeated by large margin.

Pathikonda constituency incharge KE Shyam Babu was also present at the meet and Shyam Babu also felt sad as his father got emotional.

Pathikonda is TDP’s bastion. A lot of works were carried under our government. Still my son Shyam had lost by over 42,000 votes. More than defeat, it is the majority that had pushed me into low,” said KE Krishnamurthy who had also held portfolios like Revenue, Stamps & Registration along with Deputy CM in Naidu’s government from 2014 to 2019.

KE said he would respect people’s mandate. He urged the people, partyworkers and leaders to support his son KE Shyam Babu and asked them to make him win in the next elections. He asked everyone to back his son KE Shyam.

He hailed TDP leaders and workers for not switching to YCP. He said TDP leaders, party activists continue to stay in the party despite difficulties being created by YCP workers. KE Krishnamurthy vowed to standby TDP karyakarthas.

Meanwhile, KE has also lambasted CM YS Jagan over reverse tendering of Polavaram and reworking on clean-energy PPAs.
