Armed forces and soldiers who valiantly guard the borders against enemies are regarded in high esteem in all countries across the world. They are given many special privileges and even when their actions raise suspicions,unless until inquiry is conducted people will not insult their pride and honour.
However India is the only country where brave soldiers are always insulted suspecting their each and every movie. It started right from the first Prime Minister of India Jawahar Lal Nehru who said India’s donot need any army to protect its borders. He neglected the needs of Indian army and India paid heavy price losing Kashmir territory and Arunachal Pradesh in Pakistan and China wars.
For decades men in uniform have been demanding One Rank One Pension though it costs only few funds, successive governments have taken them for a ride. Be it silent PM Manmohan Singh, who danced according to the whims and fancies of Congress president Sonia Gandhi or current PM Narendra Modi,who boasts of 56 inch chest, all insulted them bringing tears into their eyes.
When in power they speak in one language trying to delay the process and when in opposition they demand immediate implementation. Rahul Gandhi who is in aggressive mode met retired army personnel yesterday and supported their cause.
But he conveniently forgot that his party which was in power for around 60 years and which ruled the country for the last ten years scuttled the One Rank One Pension. PMO office felt it was not required and sufficient funds were not there. Finance Minister Chidambaram signed a note that the demand was unjust.
Chanakya many decades back remarked that the day soldiers protest for their rights, it will signal the end of the country.But stupid Indians derive sadistic pleasure on insulting soldiers and some even remark we don’t want nuclear bombs,we want food to eat. But sadly they insulted even farmers.
Even after so many farmers are committing suicides,governments didnot bother to address the problem but instead expressed anger on media for taking up the non issue. For Indians it is not famous Jai Jawan,Jai Kisan from Lal Bahadur Shastri,but Mar Jawan,Mar Kisan from modern day politicians.
