A V Ramana Deekshitulu, the former chief priest of Lord Venkateshwara temple who has been expressing his distress over the state of affairs in the TTD for the past few days continues his tirade.
Previously, he criticized the former AP CM Chandra Babu for influencing the TTD members in the re-appointment of the hierarchical priests. He said during the Telugu Desam Party regime, more than 20 hereditary priests had been removed from the service in the name of superannuation.
In the same issue, Ramana Deekshithulu praised AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy but now he tagged Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on another issue. Deeskshitulu tweeted that 15 out of 50 archakas had been quarantined after testing positive for Covid-19.
“Still 25 results are awaited but still, TTD executive officer and Assistant executive officer refuse to stop darshans” Ramana added. He said that it will be a disaster if this situation continues in Tirumala where thousands of devotees offer their prayers on a regular basis.
Now, Tirumal Tirupati Devasthanam chairman YV Subba Reddy reacted to the comments of TTD chief priest Ramana Deekshithulu. Speaking to the media, YV Subba Reddy asked Ramana Deekshithulu to inform to TTD trust if any problem exists. He said that it is not good to make allegations over TTD as he worked here as a temple chief priest.
Subba Reddy also told that he will make sure that Raman Deekshithulu won’t make these kinds of comments in the future as he already issued orders to the officials to hold talks with Deekshitulu. Later, Reddy asserted that 140 Coronavirus positive cases reported in TTD after easing the lockdown measures.
