BJP Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy on Wednesday alleged that the help of ‘money launderers’ and ‘professional killers’ sitting in Dubai cannot be ruled out in Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.
In conversation with national media, Swamy said there is no perfect crime across the world and “silly steps” were being taken in Sushant case like not breaking down the door and two bodies instead of one went out.
Responding to Swamy’s allegations, BJP MLA Ram Kadam said that a lot of new angles are emerging in the Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case now.
“I am sure the ED and CBI will look into all of them,” Kadam told media.
Swamy’s sensational claim came after the Supreme Court ordered a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case.
The Supreme Court had yesterday asked the Mumbai Police to hand over all evidence gathered so far in the case to the CBI.
Justice Hrishikesh Roy said the CBI will be competent to investigate not only the FIR filed in Patna but also any other FIR in connection with the case.
The apex court noted that the Mumbai Police had limited investigation powers as they had filed only an accidental death report. However, the case filed by the Bihar Police is a full-fledged FIR that has been already referred to CBI, added the SC.
The Rajya Sabha MP had on August 16 tweeted terming Sushant’s death as a murder.
Meanwhile, NK Sood, former R&AW officer, has hinted at an “underworld link” to the death of ‘Dil Bechara’ actor. Sood said that criminals from underworld do their work with precision and try their best to divert attention.
Sushant was found dead in his Mumbai residence on June 14. As per the Mumbai Police, the post-mortem report stated that the actor had committed suicide.
However, Sushant’s father KK Singh had on July 25 filed an FIR in Bihar, accusing six people, including Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, for abetment to suicide among other charges.
