The new cabinet formation in Andhra Pradesh has clearly sent shock waves to several veteran MLAs in the ruling YSRCP. Many leaders openly expressed their dissatisfaction over not getting a berth in the newly formed cabinet.
Now, the former home minister Mekathoti Sucharitha has decided to resign from the assembly. The MLA, from the Prathipadu constituency, handed over the resignation letter to Rajya Sabha member Mopidevi Venkata Ramana, who reached Sucharitha’s residence late on Sunday night to pacify her.
As per reports, the followers of the former home minister even obstructed the vehicle of Mopidevi Ramana and raised slogans against CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
“The resignation letter has been drafted in the speaker’s format and handed over to Rajya Sabha member Mopidevi Venkata Ramana,” Sucharitha’s daughter told the media. She, however, said that Sucharitha would continue in the YSRCP.
