T-Assembly Is Far Better Than AP Assembly

As expected, the monsoon sessions of Telangana Assembly started off amidst a huge storm, with the opposition leaders attacking the TRS government for its failures in curbing the rampant issues of farmers suicides in the state. Congress party’s legislature leader Shabbir Ali stated that Telangana stood in the number one position in the list of farmers committing suicides and demanded a legislature committee on farmers deaths.

Taking the cue, even the senior TDP leader Errabelli Dayakara Rao lambasted KCR for his negligence towards controlling the farmers suicides and demanded the government to immediately issue the loan waivers to the farmers. Even the MIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi lambasted the government’s failures and demanded that the ex-gratia amount announced to the famers families should be paid in single sitting.

In his reply to the opposition parties, the state’s minister of agriculture Pocharam Srinivasa Reddy stated that this time the agriculture sector faced severe adversities due to less rainfall. Speaking further, the minister said that the state government will promptly decide on the enhancement of the ex-gratia announced to the farmers from 1.5 lakhs to 6 lakhs. The minister audio vowed to improve the crop condition in the state.

In a highly commendable act, it was KCR, who was under intense pressure from the opposition to defend his government amidst the allegations for over 1350 farmer suicides in the state, that requested Akbaruddin Owaisi to discuss on the farmers suicides issue, when Owaisi demanded a discussion on dreaded terrorist Vikaruddin’s encounter.

With such generous concerns towards the state’s farmers, the CM, his government and the entire Assembly stood as a role model for the AP Assembly, in which valuable amount of time and money were wasted during the recently concluded monsoon sessions, without quality discussions on the issues the state was facing.
