Taapsee Pannu kickstarted shooting for her forthcoming biopic ‘Shabaash Mithu’ today. The actress had been under constant training for her forthcoming film in which she reprises the role of revered Indian women cricketer Mithali Raj, written by Priya Aven and directed by Rahul Dolakia.
Today the actress took to her social media handle to give more insights about her flick by sharing a candid pic of herself from the sets, where she can be seen cladded in batting equipment. This would be another film based on cricket, gearing up for release this year after Shahid Kapoor’s Jersey and Ranveer Singh’s 83.
She further captioned it, “Let’s go…. Day 1 ! #ShabaashMithu #WomenInBlue.” by displaying the strength emoji through a muscular hand in fist.
Recently she shared that she is in her last weeks of training session of her cricket skills. Taapsee exclaimed, she is pretty excited and feel jitters in playing a living, active legend.
Bankrolled by Viacom18 Studios, Shabaash Mithu chronicles the journey of the captain of the Indian Women’s Cricket Team, Mithali Raj. Her life is now being documented in this Hindi biopic, which is a source of inspiration to many young girls who are aiming high.
