Taapsee talks on shelter struggles in Mumbai

Known for her fearless spirit, confidence, and bold nature, Taapsee Pannu, has already stolen people’s hearts with some amazing performances, both in South and North. Now that her life is like a fairytale, earlier, in her initial days, the life was tough and struggled some, the actress revealed.

Taapsee said that no one was ready to give her an apartment to rent and the reason is she was a single actor. “My struggle was more about finding a house in the beginning because no one wanted to give a single actor an apartment to rent. People don’t really trust the acting field but they would spend Rs 500 to see us in a theatre. They watch us on big screens but do not want to live with us in the same society. This situation looked very awkward to me.”

However, she later went on to say that she never had a problem finding a house in Hyderabad. But it took the actress nearly a month to find a house. “I am a Delhi girl and both Delhi and Hyderabad are similar in terms of space. Here space is a restraint so that was pretty new to me. It took me a little while to wrap my head around the space here. Now I have an apartment and live with my sister. My parents still live in Delhi.”

Her words are inspiring and remind us to never give up (though it is one of the cliche phrases). Taapsee did see ups and downs in both her personal and professional lives and now, she is reigning forward with movies like long-awaited Saand Ki Aankh, where she will be seen playing a 60-year-old woman, and films like Tadka, Game Over, and Mission Mangal.
