The YSRCP is currently re-assigning a few of its ministries, and is also re-assigning a few posts in its cabinet, which have been recently vacated. It is also expanding the number of positions in its cabinet.
According to the latest reports, this will be done on the 22nd of this month, and all the new ministers will take their oaths on that very day itself. The YSRCP has made it very clear that the empty seats will be given to only to the person belonging to the same community as the one that resigned in that position.

It seems like the wait is over..! A lot of rumors have been going around about the leaders who are going to fill the two vacant ministries in the AP cabinet. The resignations of Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose and Mopidevi Venkata Ramana who were elected for Rajya Sabha gave scope to more YSRCP MLAs to acquire the ministries.
Now, most trusted sources say that Jagan has finalized two of their MLAs, one from the East Godavari district and the Other from Srikakulam. They are Rama ChandraPuram MLA Chelluboina Srinivas Venu Gopal Krishna and Palasa MLA Seediri Appala Raju. It is very likely that these leaders will take their oath on the 22nd of this month.
Of course, the two new YSRCP MLC seats belong to the Scheduled caste and Muslim minority leaders and Jagan tactically satisfied them as well. West Godavari’s Moshen Raju and YSR Kadapa District’s Rayichoti MLA Zakiya Sulthana will enter the legislative council soon to represent the ruling party.
All these names are yet to be announced officially. Chilakaluri Pet MLA Marri Rajasekhar who is said to be the prime contender for the ministry, but needs to wait for some more time as there are reports that Jagan is in the mood to re-shuffle the ministries of some leaders according to their performances and capabilities.

First Step Towards New Districts In AP
The Andhra Pradesh cabinet which met today, has appointed a committee to study the formation of new districts. The committee will be led by the Chief Secretary and no politician will be part of it. In order to keep the politics away in the formation of new districts, the AP cabinet has done so.
As media reported earlier, every Parliament constituency i.e, 25 new districts are likely to be formed along with Andhra Ooty, Araku to be made a special district. Minister Perni Nani said that the local body elections would be having nothing to do with formation of new districts and this committee which consists of officials, will do their job simultaneously.
Also the AP cabinet gave nod for Sand Corporation and this will be led by finance minister Bugganna Rajendranath Reddy and a couple of ministers.
Apart from these, the cabinet also approved recruitment of over 9000 staff in the health department and Rs 145.9 crore is being released to the Gandikota project victims.
Though the AP government did not set any deadline for the committee to study the case of new districts, it is just a matter of days.

Many more ‘Advisors’ but no results in AP cabinet?
When Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy relieved the forefront advisor of the AP administration Ajeya Kallaam, common people started to question the use of advisors in the governance and to what extent their services have been utilized so far.
Coming to the point, the YSRCP government’s position is disastrous in the past 3-4 months and they are economically scattered with a serious crisis in the state. So, what are these advisors doing all these days? How many advisors are in the AP cabinet? What are their salaries, credentials, and worth?
During the last 13 years, the AP government has shuffled, appointed, and re-appointed 33 advisors in its cabinet. On average, every advisor has been receiving 3 lakh rupees as salary every month and their allowances will be around 2 lakh rupees in addition to the provision of vehicle, driver, and his salary. Among these 33, 10 members were promoted to the cabinet and they were paid a chunk more than the others.
There are many reports that only a few people are active and the others are strictly dormant most of the time. Some people say that Sajjala Rama Krishna Reddy is the one and the only advisor of the Cabinet and his advice matters Jagan the most. Every department has been managed by Sajjala and allegedly the remaining advisors just spend their office hours for the sake of their monthly payment.
Many opposition leaders argue that if the advisors are given much importance in the cabinet, the situation in the state would have been different in this COVID-19 crisis. Even people think the same as no change has been witnessed in the past 1 year with the number of advisors present in the cabinet.
