Sports stars turning film stars is nothing new. In Tollywood, we had star athlete Ashwini Nachappa making a splash on silver screen almost a couple of decades ago and most recently, Hyderabadi badminton hottie Jwala Gutta sizzled in a special club song in Nithiin’s Gundejaari Gallanthayyinde.
Now, yet another Telugu badminton champ PV Sindhu aspires to turn an actress. In her recent interview after her victory in the Malaysia Masters, the 20-year-old said that she would love to act in her biopic.
“I would love to act in a film if it is based on my life. But then it all depends on who is making it and how much time it would require for me shoot. If everything falls into place, why not,” said the champ who has just been honored with a Padma Shri by the Indian government.
Since a biopic on yet another Hyderabadi badminton star Saina Nehwal is in the making, one can surely expect filmmakers to showcase Sindhu’s life story on celluloid.
