Former AP Minister and AP TDP senior leader Galla Aruna has decided to quit the TDP politburo and handed over her resignation letter to her supremo Chandra Babu Naidu. This exit of her created a storm within the party as everyone started to think twice about their future in this party.
As of now, there is no information about what reasons did Aruna mention for her exit but her resignation has certainly created tremors at the party. Party sources cry that there must be strong reasons for evincing interest in party activities. “Maybe she has felt there is no future in the party and she might also be sulking for being sidelined in the district party affairs,” a party leader said.
Even the other party people opine that it is not the age that made Aruna resign to TDP. Aruna had been with Congress for a very long-time before joining TDP after the state bifurcation. She contested the assembly elections from Chandragiri assembly constituency in 2014, but could not win the seat. In 2019, she did not contest the elections at all.
Many feel that Galla Aruna has decided to quit TDP as her son Jayadev didn’t get adequate support from the party when the latter was trouble by the government and even Jayadev hasn’t been invisible to the people of his parliamentary segment for a very long period of time. These are all just opinions that are going around and will there be another big bomb coming TDP’s way before the assembly sessions?
