For the past few months, Telugu Desam Party National General Secretary, Nara Lokesh has been very much absent. Only until a few months ago, he was very active, being the first one to go to any district where the members of TDP were mistreated or harrassed, and standby the family of the victim. The leader hasn’t made a single statement in the last few months, despite a lot happening in these months.
Lokesh was last seen in Kuppam, ahead of the municipal elections, in which the TDP was badly defeated. Post that, he’s been confined to his constituency of Mangalagiri only. Now, reports are surfacing saying that the main reason for Lokesh’s absence is the fact that many of the senior members of TDP much prefer working with Chandrababu, than with Lokesh, due to the difference in their working styles.
Given that Chandrababu has had practical experience and has had seen a lot of political victories and defeats throughout his career, the members of the TDP are said to be of the opinion that they should be led by Chandrababu. Moreover, it is being said that Lokesh feels that the TDP should go into the 2024 elections without any allies, whereas the rest of them feel that they need allies, given the current political situation in the state.
