These Are The Indian Films That Sold Most Tickets In 2022!

Online movie ticket bookings platform Book My Show is a game changer for booking movie tickets. The online ticket aggregator made it easy for movie lovers to book tickets. Whenever there is any film release people open Book My Show to book tickets, such is the image the platform enjoys.

As the year 2022 is coming to an end in a couple of weeks, the Book My Show released the data of movies that sold the highest number of tickets on the platform. Five films in India made it to the list of highest ticket-selling movies.

K.G.F: Chapter 2:

Part two of the Pan-India franchise hit the screens with a lot of hype and expectations. This resulted in movie lovers showing interest in the film making it one of the much-awaited films in recent times. As per the Book My Show’s report, around 17.7 million tickets were sold and 2.14 million tickets were sold on day one.

RRR

The SS Rajamouli’s directorial is not a surprise on the list. The Pan-India project has managed to get good hype from day one of its announcement. Being a multistarrer film and Rajamouli helming it after the Baahubali series resulted in fans and movie lovers showing interest in the film. It is said that RRR managed to sell 13.4 million tickets.

Vikram

The Kamal Haasan starrer struck gold at the box office by earning over Rs 300 crores at the box office. Kamal Haasan said that the action thriller will earn Rs 300 crores at the pre-release event and he achieved what he said. The Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial is in the third position on the list.

PonniyinSelvan1:

The Mani Ratnam directorial was dubbed as the Baahubali coming from the Tamil film industry. The magnum opus worked like a slow poison and became one of the most successful films released this year. The Multi-starrer is in the fourth position.

Brahmastra

The Bollywood film is a very special film due to various reasons. The Ranbir Kapoor starrer managed to beat the boycott trend and emerged as a successful film. Despite mixed talk Brahmastra part one saw good success at the box office.
