The Telangana Rashtra Samithi announced flood relief funds for everyone who has been a victim of the recent floods in Hyderabad. Several people have lost a lot of property in the floods, and several others have suffered greatly because of the floods.
Before the GHMC elections, the TRS government started to distribute flood funds to all those who are eligible for the funds. However, after the notification for GHMC elections had been released, the distribution of these funds had been put on hold. While the funds were being distributed back then, people stormed to all the e-seva centers as the government was depositing the money in the bank accounts of the victims by the end of the day.
Now, post the GHMC elections, people have once again started to gather near e-seva centers to claim their fund money, hoping that the money will be deposited in their accounts by the end of the day. However, the government has now asked people to stay at home and wait for officials to visit their homes and evaluate the damage, according to which they will determine if a family is eligible for the flood fund.
The TRS government was enthusiastic in distributing the funds before the GHMC elections, but after the elections, as a result of their comparative failure, the government seems to have now taken a backstep, which has become a huge imposter for them.
