The political parties stopped looking at the general elections in the state as regional polls. As the Lok Sabha polls are next year the parties are seeing the elections as a run-up for the big polls. The parties are not leaving any stone unturned to win the polls to check their public mandate.
The Election Commission announced the schedule for the elections in three Northeastern states. The elections for Tripura are slated for the 16th of next month while Nagaland and Meghalaya will go to polls on the 27th. The election results will be out on May 2.
The Bharatiya Janata Party is in plans to break the 2018 elections record and win even more seats. For that, it is not leaving any stone unturned to win the elections. The northeast region has a good presence and the saffron party can make wonders if it can work hard.
On the other hand, the opposition parties are making sure that the Bharatiya Janata Party will not win the polls. If not for winning the polls the opposition parties are planning to at least defeat the party and make it draw the last blood.
We would witness an intense ballot box battle next month in the three northeast states. As all the elections are seen as the run-up for the Lok Sabha polls that will be held next year, all eyes are now on the upcoming general elections in the three states
