The online movie portal proposal that was brought by the Andhra Pradesh government had created a big controversy. Despite no reaction from the Tollywood biggies, it is said that they are not happy with the decision. A lot of concerns were raised on the government having full control of the industry.
Amid the controversy, it was earlier reported that the Tollywood biggies led by Megastar Chiranjeevi would meet Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to discuss a lot of issues pertaining to the film industry.
As a bid twist in the tale, media reports say that the Tollywood biggies will meet Andhra Pradesh Transport and Cinematography Minister Perni Nani on the 20th of this month but not Chief Minister Jagan on the Tollywood issues.
While the meeting is expected to happen with Perni Nani, it has to be seen who all from the Tollywood industry will attend the meeting. Another question is will the Industry biggies show interest in reaching Temple city Vijayawada to attend the meeting.
The meeting is likely to be chaired by Cinematography Minister Perni Nani to discuss various issues in the industry including the Online sale of movie tickets by the government. Film Development Corporation Chairman Vijay Chandar and heads of the various departments are also expected to take part in the crucial meeting.
Even the observers are also keenly watching the episode to see what outcome would come after the meeting. When the analysts raised questions on the online tickets portal, Perni Nani had announced that the decision was taken going by the proposal brought up by the industry biggies.
Earlier Perni Nani said that the Andhra Pradesh government is bound to bring transparency in the ticket system and said to see that the black tickets mafia won’t create an issue for the public, the new portal was proposed.
Giving more details on the portal, Perni Nani said that a dedicated committee to study various issues on the online ticket issue and the suggestions and inputs given by the biggies and bigwigs in the industry would also be implemented on the same he said.
