1) Gaddalakonda Ganesh – Valmiki: Changing the title at the eleventh hour hasn’t affected Varun Tej’s mass entertainer Valmiki’s opening at all. In fact it went on to register the best weekend numbers for a Varun Tej starrer.
The film has collected around Rs. 13 Cr share in Telugu States in its first weekend and is likely to breakeven by the end of its first week run.
With no competition until Sye Raa arrives, Gaddalakonda Ganesh should make handsome profits with strong hold in B and C centers.
2) Nani’s Gang Leader: Mediocre content is the main reason for Gang Leader’s lackluster show at the ticket windows.
The film’s collections dropped after its first weekend and there isn’t much respite in the second weekend as well. The film has turned out to be a box office failure.
Vikram Kumar is yet to deliver a hit post Manam.
3) Bandobast: Tamil Superstar Suriya pinned high hopes on Bandobast directed by KV Anand. The film failed to get decent opening despite a stellar star cast.
It will go down as one of the most miserable flops in Suriya’s career.
4) Dream Girl: Ayushhman Khurrana’s Dream Girl is unstoppable at the box office. The film has done terrific business in its second weekend and is set to cross Rs. 100 Cr mark today.
It is the second film of the fastest rising star of Bollywood to breach this benchmark.
5) Prassthanam: Deva Katta’s Prassthanam has won the critical acclaim but the box office numbers have been disappointing so far.
It has collected around Rs. 3 cr nett in its first weekend in spite of a star like Sanjay Dutt playing the lead.
