After the resignation of TPCC chief N. Uttam Kumar Reddy post GHMC poll results, the party leaders have now focus on filling the seat with a capable leader. After Uttam’s resignation, leaders such as MP A Revanth Reddy, MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy are lobbying at the apex for TPCC position.
Manickam Tagore, who is Telangana in-charge for Congress affairs, after meeting senior Congress leaders and party district presidents across Telangana for days, seems to have finally shortlisted three names. So far those three are Party MP’s Revanth Reddy, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and former Minister Sridhar Babu. As per reports, leaders from erstwhile Karimnagar, Warangal and Nalgonda gave their opinion against Revanth Reddy.
If Komatireddy is elected as President, will he be able to handle that position properly? This question also comes up among the leaders. Mr Tagore indicated that the final decision will take three to four weeks depending on Ms. Gandhi’s time. It remains to be seen who will the new TPPC president.
