The four directors who have collaborated for a couple of anthology films are now coming up to scare the audiences with their ‘horror’ narratives. Directors Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap and Dibakar Banerjee reunite for a third anthology, after Bombay Talkies and Lust Stories, through their Ghost Stories.
Netflix India has released the trailer of this Jan1st releasing movie, and we should say that a couple of the stories are really scary. The first segment is that of a ghostly grandmother, which is helmed by Karan Johar. It has a new bride played by Mrinal Thakur getting scared of the grandmother and going psychotic thereafter.
Zoya Akhtar’s segment Jhanvi Kapoor as a young nurse Sameera who takes care of the scary-looking old patient. Shobita Dhulipa joined hands with Anurag Kashyap again to play a pregnant lady whose nephew is worried that she might ignore him completely if she delivers her own baby. Dibakar Banerjee takes us to a scary town where there are only children and their father was eaten away by a ghost.
Strange creatures, gory-ness, intriguing music and some stunning performances make this “Ghost Stories” trailer an interesting one for sure.
