Trailer Talk:Vijay Devarakonda Hits It Out Of the Park as Liger!

Vijay Devarakonda is the current sensation in the industry. After his game-changer film Arjun Reddy, the powerhouse of talent is spreading his wings. For his next, he joined hands with sensational director Puri Jagannadh, who is known for showing the heroes in a never-before avatar. Titled Liger, the upcoming film marks their first collaboration and maiden Pan-Indian film for them as well.

The much-awaited trailer was unveiled just a while ago. The trailer starts with none other than Ramya Krishna giving a mass intro for his son and introducing him as a Liger, who is born to a lion and tiger. No wonder her character is designed as a Tigress.

The trailer sheds light on the hero’s character and the evolution it sees. From a normal person who struggles with his stammering, who goes on to become a Mixed martial arts fighter and even represents his country in a few international events. Hero’s character was designed in a way, he is a fighter but he has stammering.

Vijay Devarakonda’s hard work can be seen as he developed a ripped body. His fighter look with killer abs is complemented by long hair. Going by the trailer, we can expect some breath-taking action sequences.

The trailer looks like a typical Puri Jagannadh film. A poor hero comes across a rich heroine, and the leading lady fall heads over heels with him. In a few glimpses, the trailer hints at the same. Ananya Pandey’s character appeared in high-end cars in a few scenes in the trailer.

Moreover, the Liger trailer has the shades of Puri Jagannadh’s iconic film Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi. In Ravi Teja’s film, the story revolved around kickboxing, while Liger is about mixed martial arts. In Both films, mothers stand by their respective sons and guide them in the right direction. While mother character in Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi, there is no clarity on Liger.

Legendary American boxer Mike Tyson is playing a key role in the film and in the trailer, he comes at the end and his words hint that he might be playing the baddie.

Puri Jagannadh directed and co-produced the Pan-India along with Karan Johar. Ananya Pandey is making a Telugu debut with the sports drama. The much-awaited film has a settler cast of Ronit Roy, Makarand Deshpande, and others. Liger is slated for a release on the 25th of August.
