Two films that are in the news for a long time but struggling to be in theatres are none other than Ungarala Rambabu and Meda Meedha Abbayi. One features six-pack star Sunil and another one has Allari Naresh in the leads. If these two releases are facing some difficulties, then definitely we have to blame star heroes. Here’s why.
Earlier Allari Naresh used to come up with nearly 3-4 films in a year and he used to fill that ample requirement of comedy through his movies. Though Sunil hasn’t done such a number of films, he used to bring good laughs in theatres. But then, we have TV shows like Jabardasth coming up where audiences are tasting such comedies every day, leading to declining in interest on films that have only comedy but nothing. If these TV comedies are one side, star heroes taking food of heroes like Naresh and Sunil is other side.
In almost all the latest movies of our top heroes, they themselves are doing comedy scenes without the need of specialist comedians. Pawan Kalyan’s Antyakshari scenes, Allu Arjun’s spoof dialogues, Jr NTR’s self-satires, Nitin’s innocent comedy, Nikhil’s slapstick comedy and what not, almost all the big stars and young stars are doing comedy themselves.
Even though some professionals like 30 years Prudhvi and Vennela Kishore are present, heroes are taking most screen time to do this comedy as well. That led to people expecting something more and different from Naresh and Sunil rather the same comedy. If we have to say, happening heroes are stealing the show with their comedy timing, or we could also say, these two should invent something new in comedy to survive.
