After being able to rewrite several records in India, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan now look to battle out of the country and eyes the neighboring nation China, a massive market that can help our films make enormous money, bigger than the numbers of India and US put together. And that was proved by Mr. Perfectionist’s Dangal.
The overseas box-office numbers are a big rage these days and with Dangal creating a storm in China, Salman Khan is also aiming to pocket some massive moolah from the foreign country. Now that Dangal managed to gross around $190+ Million in 42 days of release in China alone, the worldwide box-office numbers of the film are close to INR 2000-Crore mark.
So, with a view to repeat the same magic of Dangal, a wrestler’s story of training his two daughters to win gold medal for India, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is gearing up to release his last film ‘Sultan’ in China soon. The film, featuring Anushka Sharma as leading lady, was already screened at Busan Film festival and shortlisted for Shanghai international Film Festival too.
On other hand, India’s biggest blockbuster and Telugu’s pride Baahubali is also shaping up to have its China-release and the makers are hoping for some good returns. The first installment wasn’t a big money spinner, but the second one is expected to effortlessly fetch glorious money.
Keeping in mind the fact that producers can only gain 12% of profits from the overall share, the makers of these top Indian films are looking to keep their selling rate tall.
