The Vicky Kaushal starrer ‘URI’, a film that is based on surgical strikes conducted our armed forces in 2016, is shaking the Indian box-office with massive BO collections. The action film has already earned the blockbuster tag and has emerged out as the biggest grosser in the actor’s career.
The movie directed by Adithya Dhar has crossed the Rs 200 crore mark recently and now, it has achieved another record at the box-office. In the days when a Hindi film is getting washed out of theatres in 1-2 weeks, URI: The Surgical Strike is able to attract good number of audiences to the cinemas in its fourth week of release as well. It’s become all-time fourth highest ‘third weekend grosser’ at the box-office. The first three being Baahubali-2 (42.55Cr), Dangal (31.79 Cr) and PK (26.75 Cr).
By surpassing the third weekend numbers of Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju (21.46 Cr), Ranveer Singh starrer Bhajirao Mastani (20.50 Cr) and Bhajrangi Bhaijaan (19.98 Cr), URI has managed to collect a whopping 23.35 Cr. Besides competition from the last week’s release-Manikarnika, URI starring Yami Gautam, Paresh Rawal, Mohit Raina and Kriti Kulhari in important roles, is continuing to do some extraordinary business at box-office.
