Amid growing criticism over combating the novel Coronavirus, an official of the Trump administration has reportedly said the delivery of a potential vaccine to cure Covid-19 might be started in January 2021.
Dr. Robert Kadlec, who leads the response to the coronavirus pandemic in the United States said all the required measures have been taken to speed up the production of a safe vaccine. The vaccine production can be started in January, according to the reports.
While the local American media earlier claimed, United States President Donald Trump is hoping that the vaccine distribution might be started as early as this month.
However, Robert Kadlec, who currently serves as Assistant Secretary of Health and Human Services maintained that the vaccine could get a nod from the concerned bodies before this year-end. While vaccine distribution will take time.
Though he did not mention the date of dispatch, he said, the process will be started as soon as they get the required permissions.
The United States is the worst-affected nation globally with the Covid-19 outbreak. So far, as many as 7,689,358 patients were diagnosed with the virus, while 214,004 patients succumbed to the virus.
