After Andhra Pradesh Chief Minster Jagan Mohan Reddy announced the jobs of AP Grama Volunteer in every rural and urban area in the state, the opposition along with the common people started to troll the AP government. They criticized the Volunteers by saying that their job is to carry the bales.
Now the AP Chief Minister has revealed astonishing facts about the Grama Volunteers who strived hard to control the spread of the Covid-19 virus in the state. Jagan said that more than 2,50,000 gram volunteers across the state conducted a survey in each and every house in the state and isolated 11,670 people who came from abroad.
Jagan thanked all the Grama volunteers, medical assistants, Asha workers, village and ward secretariat employees, doctors, health care professionals and collectors for successfully curbing its growth in Andhra Pradesh compared to other states in the country.
While 450 people were tested positive in the country, Andhra Pradesh has registered only 6 cases and one of them was recovered healthily. Even in our neighboring state Telangana, 30 Covid-19 positive cases were registered and the Grama Volunteers played a prominent role in keeping the situation under control in Andhra Pradesh.
