Vedam fame Nagaiah passes away due to illness

Allu Arjun and Manchu Manoj starrer ‘Vedam’ fame Nagaiah has breathed his last on Saturday. He

died of an illness. The leading character artist impressed everyone with his portrayal of many roles and acted in over three dozen films.

Vedam Nagaiah experienced many hardships in real life, like the characters he played. Born in Desavarampeta near Narsaraopeta in the Guntur district, he owned two-acre land there. Unable to work in his village, Nagaiah came to Hyderabad along with his son.

One day he accidentally met producer Radhakrishna and got a chance in ‘Vedam’. Shot to fame with his role in Vedam, Nagaiah changed his surname to ‘Vedam’ Nagaiah.

He has acted in 25 films like Vedam, Nagavalli, Okkadine, Student Star, Ramayya Vasthavayya, Spider among others. He received a remuneration of around Rs 3,000 to Rs 25,000.

However, movies could not feed him and helped him to come out of his problems. His wife died recently because of illness. On the other hand, he even begged at the road of the film industry. When this came to their notice, Telangana Chief Minister KCR provided financial help of Rs. 1 lakh.
