Acclaimed Telugu director Venky Atluri, known for his heartwarming love stories like “Tholi Prema,” “Mr Majnu,” and “Rang De,” embarked on a new path last year with the thought-provoking “Sir.” He now reunites with Sithara Entertainments for his upcoming venture, “Lucky Bhaskar,” a project that promises a captivating blend of romance and intrigue.
Headlining the film is Dulquer Salman, a name synonymous with captivating performances in diverse roles. The recently released teaser for “Lucky Bhaskar” garnered a positive response, further fueling audience anticipation. To heighten the excitement, the makers unveiled the film’s first single, “Srimathi Garu.”
This melodious track, composed by the National Award-winning GV Prakash Kumar, is a blissful celebration of marital love. Singers Vishal Mishra and Shwetha Mohan weave a tapestry of emotions, portraying the tender affection between a husband and wife. Lyricist Shreemani’s evocative words paint a picture of a husband’s unwavering love for his wife, even in moments of disagreement. Phrases like “Chamanti navvu” (meaning “a playful smile”) and “Paluke oo Vennapoosa” (meaning “the bloom you are”) beautifully capture the depth of his devotion.
The composition itself is a masterpiece, featuring captivating violin sections that seamlessly transition into a lilting flute melody. The addition of drum beats adds a touch of grandeur, elevating the listening experience. This collaboration between Shwetha Mohan, GV Prakash Kumar, and Venky Atluri marks another success story, following the well-received “Mastaaru Mastaaru” from “SIR.”
Meenakshi Chaudhary portrays the leading lady opposite Dulquer Salman. Set against the backdrop of the late 1980s and early 1990s, “Lucky Bhaskar” chronicles the extraordinary journey of an ordinary bank cashier who achieves unexpected success. Suryadevara Naga Vamsi, Sai Soujanya of Sithara Entertainments, and Fortune Four Cinemas join forces as producers for the film.
Scheduled for a global release in July, “Lucky Bhaskar” will be presented in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi languages. The production design is entrusted to Banglan, while the musical tapestry is crafted by GV Prakash Kumar himself. Nimish Ravi handles the cinematography, and Navin Nooli takes the reins of editing.
With a talented cast, a captivating narrative, and a team of accomplished filmmakers, “Lucky Bhaskar” appears poised to be a cinematic treat for audiences worldwide. The release of the melodious “Srimathi Garu” further underscores the film’s potential to weave a heartwarming tale of love and ambition.
