The veteran singer has been suffering from health issues for some time. The singer had a peaceful passing as she is said to have breathed her last at her house.
Celebrated Singer Tina Turner who needs no introduction among music lovers. She has been singing since the 60s. Though she started her career with her husband, Tina Turner started seeing bigger success as a solo artist after her divorce from her husband Ike.
Tina Turner is famous for her energetic stage performances. She brings energy to the performances that she is called Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll. She started her career as a background singer in her husband’s band. Later she started seeing success along with her husband. They gave hits like Nutbush City Limits. She was born as Anna Mae Bullock. But her husband changed her name to Tina Turner.
Tina Turner’s legacy in the music industry is such that she won as many as eight Grammy Awards and she got a spot in the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame in 2021 as a solo artist in 2021. This is the second time she got the honor. A couple of decades back, she was inducted into this along with her then-husband. With age catching up, Tina Turner started developing health issues. She was diagnosed with Cancer and Turner sustained heart strike and kidney issues. At the age of 83, she passed away.
Condolence Messages are coming from various corners. United States President Joe Biden also condoled her death and said that she is once in a generation that changed American music.
“Before she was the Queen of Rock and Roll, Tina Turner was a farmer’s daughter in Tennessee. As a child, she sang in the church choir before becoming one of the most successful recording artists of all time. In addition to being a once-in-a-generation talent that changed American music forever,” the United States President said.
Roger Davies who worked as the Manager with Turner said that she has incredible energy and immense talent. Recalling her, he said that Turner had always believed in herself and she carried it over the years.
