The vice president of India, Venkaiah Naidu has tested positive for Covid-19, say latest reports. After exhibition mild symptoms, the senior politician got himself tested for the virus and the results came out positive.
Venkaiah Naidu is presently in home isolation and he will be shifted to a hospital if the situation deteriorates. He is said to be doing fine for now.
Taking Venkaiah Naidu’s age into consideration, the medical team attending him is keeping a close watch on his vital parameters.
Reportedly, the rest of Venkaiah Naidu’s family members have tested Covid-19 negative.
The senior politician attended the parliament sessions recently and took all the safety precautions. There is no update so as to how or where he had contracted the virus.
Notably, union Home minister, Amit Shah had tested positive for Covid-19 a month or so ago and recovered after receiving advanced medical treatment.
The Vice President of India who underwent a routine COVID-19 test today morning has been tested positive. He is however, asymptomatic and in good health. He has been advised home quarantine. His wife Smt. Usha Naidu has been tested negative and is in self-isolation.
