Opposition parties and political analysts all believed that the YSRCP would start saying that the people of the state very much support the 3 Capital idea if the YSRCP wins in the municipal elections. As expected, members of the YSRCP have begun doing the same thing. especially in Visakhapatnam, where the YSRCP won with a majority.
YSRCP member and Rajya Sabha MP Vijayasai Reddy started to say that the people of the port city are very much in support of the coastal city becoming the executive capital, because of which they voted for the YSRCP.
He also said that the people of Visakhapatnam have voted for development and jobs, and promised that the YSRPC would deliver on the same and that the YSRCP would develop Visakhapatnam into an international city.
Vijayasai criticised the way Chandrababu wanted to concentrate all the development in one place, Amaravati, thereby robbing the people of Andhra Pradesh, proper development in all areas and towns. He also said that the TDP was biased towards only one caste, and benefited them at all times.
Hence, as expected, the YSRCP is taking the municipal elections as a green signal from the people of the state towards the YSRCP’s 3 Capital idea. It is now to be seen if the judiciary will at least be able to help the farmers of Amaravati.
