The much-talked-about vote for scam that took place in 2015 in Telangana shocked the entire nation. The case has made it to the middle of the headlines yet again.
As one more breakthrough in the vote-for-note scam, the Telangana Anti Corruption Bureau(ACB) sleuths have arrested Rudra Udaya Simha, accused in the case, and produced him before the court.
Amid these developments, YSRCP MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy is said to have knocked on the doors of the Supreme Court to seek directives for a CBI probe into Chandrababu Naidu’s role in the scam.
The Constitution bench led by Chief Justice of India(CJI) Sharad Arvind Bobde heard the petition filed by Ramakrishna Reddy and reportedly gave its nod for a probe on Chandrababu Naidu’s role, reports claimed.
This could be a super jolt to the opposition TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and the party leaders.
It has to be noted that back in 2016, the Telangana High Court heard a petition filed by Ramakrishna Reddy to start a probe into the alleged role of Chandrababu Naidu and dismissed the plea.
Since then, the YSRCP lawmaker has been filing petitions to seek directives for a probe claiming that even after multiple mentions about him, his name was not named in the FIR and he was not questioned by the cops.
