Warning To Baahubali, Rajamouli Caught in Mess

The dissent against Baahubali: The Conclusion in Karnataka is growing with each passing day. The latest is that Karnataka Rakshana Vedike has called for a state bandh tomorrow and stated that the film would not see release there unless Sathyaraj tender unconditional apology over his remarks in the sensitive issue of Kauveri water sharing between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

Multiple protests have been held by the Karnataka Rakshana Vedike in front of various popular multiplexes against the release of Baahubali: The Conclusion. The activists have cautioned the exhibitors not to screen the film and told them that there would be serious consequences.

This is after Sathyaraj (who is seen as Kattappa in Baahubali) had allegedly made ‘hurtful’ remarks. The KRV alleged that Sathyaraj had “insulted” Kannadigas and Kannada women and expecting an apology from him for the smoother release of the film.

President of Karnataka Film Chamber is also in favour of the pro-Kannada organisation that’s strongly raising voice against the film’s release until Sathyaraj apologies.

But the major twist is that Rajamouli is caught between a rock and hard place as the film also has a release in Tamil. If anything he does in favour of Kannadigas for the film’s release would affect the prospects of the film in Tamil. Even if Sathyaraj says a sorry, it is expected to have contrary consequences in Tamil Nadu.
