Hanu Raghavapudi needs no introduction. He shot to fame with his very debut movie “Andala Rakshasi” and within no time he earned the tag of most-talented director.On the other hand, Venky Kudumula has become sought after filmmaker with his very debut “Chalo” this year.The young directors who hail from the same town have come together for a tête-à-tête with GreatAndhra.com.Hanu Raghavapudi’s “Padi Padi Leche Manasu” featuring Sharwanand and Sai Pallavi is releasing this Friday.
The director says climax of the movie should be the triggering point for a love story.
“There is nothing novel point left to be explored in love stories. I thought climax before penning this story. I have lived in Kolkota for few months in 2007. I have decided to set this story in this city as I know each street and road here. The title Padi Padi Leche Manasu came before the story was written,” he reveals.
Producers complain that Hanu Raghavapudi hikes the production cost as he never completes the schedules on time. To this allegation, the director gives lengthy clarification.
“I shoot films mostly in outdoors. Nothing is under control when we shoot most of the movie outside. That is the prime reason why my movies get delayed,” he says.
“Sai Pallavi is natural actor, she doesn’t act, she lives in the role,” he praises his actress.
“There are times I told her to go overboard just to feel that she’s acting. She is such natural, you don’t feel that she is acting,” he continued.
Chalo director Venky Kudumula hails from Khammam district. Hanu Raghavapudi informs him that he too comes from the same region. Hanu Raghavapudi stepped into the movie industry in the hope of becoming lyricist.
Venky Kudumula prods Hanu further to extract many interesting tidbits from him.
