“Dear World Leaders! My country is in chaos, thousand of innocent people, including children & women, get martyred everyday, houses & properties being destructed.Thousand families displaced.. Don’t leave us in chaos. Stop killing Afghans & destroying Afghanistan. We want peace,” Rashid Khan’s tweet reads.
According to several NGOs and other organisations, things started to turn ugly for Afghanistan and the violence increased after the US and NATO called off their forces from Afghanistan.
NATO is an abbreviation for North Atlantic Treaty Organization, which is a military alliance among various nations. The main motto behind the force is to make Afghanistan free from Talibans.
With no fight in the country, the Talibans have started to expand their base in Afghanistan which in turn resulted in a major share of the territory going into Taliban control.
Taliban started to increase gain on various parts of the nation starting from May this year since the foreign forces have started to leave Afghanistan.
As an example of showing Taliban strength in the nation, as many as six provincial capitals have been captured by Taliban.
Besides destroying the properties, Taliban troops are also killing innocent children and women to show their supremacy.
As a result, people are fleeing to safe places to hide from Taliban troops. The capital city of the South Asia Country Afghanistan, Kabul became the go to place for the refugees. It is said that the major share of the refugees are in Kabul city.
Rashid Khan had earlier started a fundraiser to help the victims of Afghan terror. The fundraiser was started in collaboration with Afghanistan Cricket Board. The initiative is aimed at lending a helping hand to the victims by providing food and other necessary items.
