In the wake of discussions on what will be the next big step of Etela Rajender, who was stripped from his Health portfolio following the land grabbing allegations, he met with a key leader.
It is said that the former Minister met Union Minister Kishan Reddy in Hyderabad. The key meeting is said to have taken place at a farmhouse, which gave scope to a lot of speculations and questions.
Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay, ex-MP Jitender Reddy, and DK Aruna have also attended the party. The alleged meeting took place days after he met Congress Telangana firebrand MP Revanth Reddy.
What we hear from the media reports is, Etela who was going through a tough phase in his political career with the alleged land grabbing row wants to become the reason for the state to witness an intense by-election, by resigning from his post.
In order to see that, his winning chances are increased and the votes are not divided, he is meeting the big leaders from other parties and reportedly asking them to stay out of the by-poll.
BJP and Congress are the only two parties in the state besides the ruling TRS. If the two parties skip the polls, then it will be a two-faced battle between the ruling TRS and the former Minister.
Keeping this in mind, he asked Revanth Reddy to see that his party won’t field any contestant in the bypoll. But the MP reportedly didn’t assure him of this. The main agenda behind meeting the BJP leaders is also said to be the same.
As per the media reports, Etela Rajender told the leaders that he is gearing up to resign from his post and call for a by-polls in Huzurabad. Now it is interesting to see what assurance the BJP can give.
Even if Congress and BJP stay out of the polls, Etela Rajender has to sweat it out to claim the by-polls as TRS firebrand leader, Harish Rao, who enjoys mass following is take care of the constituency now.
