When Jagan stepped into the shoes of a teacher and wished the students

The schools which have remained close for over one year since the Covid effect have been reopened in Andhra Pradesh on Monday. The state government had decided to reopen the schools with the fresh Covid cases coming down gradually.

As the state-run schools across the state were reopened today, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy made a surprise visit to the Zilla Parishad High School in East Godavari district’s Gannavaram.

The Chief Minister visited the ZP School to launch the second tranche of the Vidya Kanuka and Nadu-Nedu scheme. CM Jagan also checked the quality of the items the students get as part of the scheme. Vidya Kanuka kits come with shoes, socks, a belt, a school bag, and textbooks.

After his interaction with the students and the teachers at the school, CM Jagan was briefed about the facilities the school offers. He also asked about the mid-day meal scheme.

As part of the second installment of the flagship scheme launched by the government Nadu-Nedu scheme, more than 15,000 schools were renovated and equipped with the required facilities to meet the needs.

YS Jagan had also surprised the students and teachers at the school by turning teacher for a brief period. He wrote “All the very best” on the board with the new academic year starting from today.
