Where Is The Promised Flood Relief Amount?

The issue of disbursing Rs 10000 towards interim flood relief is now turning out to be a noose around the TRS’ neck. Prior to the elections, the Government has disbursed over 100 crore in two days. Also, no GHMC official has visited the flood affected areas. In several areas, there is still stagnated water. There are complaints galore that the officials are turning back those who are going to the Mee Seva and Circle offices for relief amount.GHMC sources says they are yet to get official orders for the disbursement of the relief amount.

Meanwhile, anger is growing among the citizens over the non-payment of relief material to the flood hit people. They are questioning the intentions of the government on the issue. ‘They did a show-off before the elections to get votes. But now, they have completely forgotten us,’ complained a flood victim.
