If reliable sources are to be believed, Chandrababu Naidu has already begun looking for an alternative assembly constituency for 2o24 elections. Chandrababu, who observed the voting trends in Kuppam municipality, has reportedly come to the conclusion that Kuppam is no longer a safe seat. So, he has begun searching for a safer seat.
Sources say that his borough of Kuppam has turned towards the YSRCP and even Chandrababu Naidu knows this. His last ditch efforts to breathe life into the party have not yielded fruits. In fact, for the first ever time, Chandrababu himself personally campaigned in Kuppam and also stayed put in Kuppam on the polling day to monitor the trends. This is the first time that Chandrababu paid so much attention. This move has left the TDP cadre thoroughly demoralised.
If sources are to be believed, Chandrababu and his close associates have zeroed in on Penamaluru in Krishna district. Penamaluru has always been a TDP stronghold. The TDP has won most of the times in Penamaluru. In 2019 eletions however, the TDP lost to the YSRCP by over 11 000 votes.
But Chandrababu is confident that he would romp home from Penamaluru. He is of the opinion that that loyal TDP voters have come back to the party fold. This would help tilt the scales, he feels. Even Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy too has said that the TDP cannot win back Kuppam. He said that the tide was against Chandrababu Naidu.
