The Congress high command took a very serious view of the comments of senior leader V Hanumanth Rao on the appointment of the Telagnana Pradesh Congress Committee. It has already decided to issue a notice to the veteran seeking his explanation.
VH, known for his loud-mouth comments, has been staunchly opposing Revanth Reddy and has said that he would resign from the party if Revanth Reddy is made the TPCC chief. He said rank outsiders, who joined the party only recently, should not be given such plum posts. He further commented that Congress Telangana incharge Manickam Tagore was sold out to Revanth Reddy. He said tomorrow if Pavan Kalyan joins the Congress, he too could be made the PCC chief.
Both the high command as well as Manickam Tagore are said to be very upset with these statements. A report has been sent to the high command about VH’s comments. Meanwhile, several Congress leaders criticized V Hanumanth Rao’s statements. Senior leader Mallu Ravi said that he had indeed forwarded the name of Revanth Reddy for the PCC chief post and said that he has backed Reddy’s name as the party needs a young and dynamic leader.
