As announced earlier, YS Sharmila, daughter of former Chief Minister of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, is gearing up to set up her own political outfit in Telangana. She is expected to start her party in April.
Ahead of her party launch, an interesting topic is going rounds on the constituency Sharmila will pick to contest the elections. Sharmila is likely to pick a constituency among three finalized constituencies.
According to the media reports, YSR followers urged Sharmila to pick a constituency among Secunderabad, Khammam, and Paleru. These three constituencies have high chances of winning for Sharmila.
Looking at Secunderabad, the constituency enjoys a major share of Christian voters. Voters belong to the Seemandhra region are also in significant numbers in the twin city constituency.
It has to be noted that, yesteryear actress, Actor-turned-politician, Jayasudha who joined the Congress party during the regime of Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy contested from Secunderabad and emerged victoriously as M.L.A.
Looking at Paleru and Khammam, the two constituencies have Semandhra voters in huge numbers. Despite the fact that the two constituencies fall under Telangana, the Seemandhra voters might be the deciding factor in the polls.
It is said that, after discussing the same factors with YSR followers and sympathizers of these regions, Sharmila will take a call and pick a constituency for her median electoral polls.
