YSRC demands Seemandhra leaders Resignations

Describing as politically motivated the Congress decision to split the state into two, YSR Congress has said uncertainty looms large over Seemandhra and this would spell doom to the UPA in the ensuing elections.

Addressing the press here, party spokesperson A Rambabu said the decision was not to carve a separate Telangana but it has created a separate Seemandhra with scant infrastructure with the sole intention of gaining seats with the help of TRS as surveys have predicted very poor performance by the Congress in the next general elections.

He said the division of the state was not to honour the sentiments of any one region, but it is absolutely politically motivated. In the process people of Seemandhra were put to a great disadvantage.

Demanding the seemandhra leaders to quit their posts in protest against the decision,  Rambabu said questioned the TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu for maintaining silence on the bifurcation of state.
